Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine founded in 1958,one of the first batch of the key universities of Shandong Province, ranks among the most famous higher-learning institutions of traditional Chinese medicine in China. The campus is located in Jinan, "the city of springs", covering a total area of 14.5 hectares including 108,000 square meters of building space.
The university has 5 departments with 11 specialties; it owns 66 teaching sections, 22 teaching laboratories, 4 research institutions and 13 research sections; it offers 4 doctoral programs and 16 master's programs which cover all the TCM specialties of the first and second grades of courses; it has 5 provincial key specialties and 2 provincial key laboratories.
